On 14th September, Viet Thuan Transport Co., Ltd commenced construction of a new cruise with a capacity of 99 passengers. With a total investment of over VND 60 billion, the vessel is expected to enter commercial operation in the first quarter of 2026 on the “Heritage Journey” route. This project reflects the efforts of businesses to expand and modernize the fleet of sightseeing boats on Ha Long Bay.
The new cruise named Explora By Grand Pioneers Cruises, is divided into multiple watertight compartments and equipped with a double-hull system to enhance safety and prevent capsizing under all weather conditions. Classified as VR-SB, it is authorized to operate in coastal areas within 12 nautical miles. Notably, the vessel boasts a safety coefficient (K) of 4—four times higher than maritime standards and the highest safety rating on Ha Long Bay. These features provide crucial measures to ensure maximum safety for visitors exploring the World Natural Heritage site.
After taking into operation, the ship will activate according to the “Heritage Journey” route, along with two cruises named Grand Pioneers of Viet Thuan Co., Ltd. This is also an integrated tour in 3 days and 2 nights, departing from Dau Go cave to Xuong Rong islet and making a comprehensive point to discover Ha Long Bay – a world heritage region recognized by UNESCO. With wild and exceptional landscapes, four heritage values including biodiversity, aesthetic beauty, geology–geomorphology, and history–culture, visitors is expected to get eventful and fascinating experiences.
