On March 25, the Quang Ninh Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Agency held a meeting with a delegation from CNN International Asia-Pacific to discuss cooperation opportunities in promoting Quang Ninh tourism at the regional level.

Attendees included Mr. Pham Ngoc Van, Deputy Head of the Agency, along with representatives from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and Quang Ninh Media Center. On the CNN International side, Ms. Jocelyn Kang, Account Director, and Mr. Nguyen Phu An, CNN’s representative in Vietnam, attended the working session.

Within the framework of the meeting, representatives from Quang Ninh showcased the province’s overall potential, development advantages, and its strategic orientation to develop tourism into a key economic sector, with a target of welcoming approximately 22 million visitors in 2026, including around 5 million international arrivals.

Regarding the role of international media channels, Quang Ninh identified cooperation with CNN International as a strategic solution to enhance destination awareness and effectively reach high-end tourism markets, particularly in Europe, the Americas, the Middle East, and Northeast Asia.

Representatives of CNN International highly appreciated Quang Ninh’s tourism potential, advantages, and development orientation, while also sharing their experience in implementing destination marketing campaigns across various countries and localities worldwide. Both sides discussed the possibility of developing in-depth media cooperation programs in the near future.

The meeting is expected to mark a new step forward in promoting Quang Ninh more widely to the international community, thereby enhancing its position as a destination and fostering sustainable, high-quality tourism growth.
