On March 22, the Quang Ninh Department of Sports, Culture and Tourism, in coordination with Visit Indochina Company, held a tourism promotion and networking program at Novotel Ha Long Bay (Bai Chay Ward), with the participation of around 60 travel agency representatives from Chiang Mai and Bangkok, Thailand. This is one of the key international tourism promotion activities in 2026.

Thailand is considered a promising and well-integrated market for Vietnam’s tourism in general and Quang Ninh in particular. With its large population, stable income levels, close geographical proximity, and visa-free policy, the number of Thai tourists is expected to increase significantly in the coming time, especially among mid- to high-end travelers.

Within the framework of the program, the Thai business delegation surveyed Quang Ninh’s renowned tourism products, including cruise tours exploring Ha Long Bay, cultural and spiritual experiences at the Yen Tu Complex of Monuments and Landscapes, as well as special artistic performances at the Vung Duc Cave area. Thereby, they gained further insights to assess service quality and develop suitable tour packages for Thai travelers.

Along with the survey activities, the program also hosted a business-to-business (B2B) session, creating an ideal space for discussions, exchanges, and exploring cooperation opportunities between enterprises of the two countries. Various cooperation areas were highlighted, including accommodation and transport connectivity, experiential services, and efforts to develop highly competitive and attractive tour packages for their customers.

Through their on-site experiences and working sessions, the Thai famtrip delegation was impressed by Quang Ninh’s diverse tourism resources, especially its world well-knonwn heritage sites, well-developed transport infrastructure, and steadily improving service quality. These are vital advantages for the province to attract more visitors from this market.
