On April 1, 2026, Quang Ninh Province welcomed the first cruise ship of the month at Ha Long International Cruise Port. The mega cruise ship Coral Princess (Bermuda-flagged) carried about 1,800 tourists, mostly from the United States, Australia, and European countries, to visit and experience Ha Long Bay.
After arriving, travelers immediately took part in activities such as visiting Ha Long Bay, exploring caves, and discovering fishing villages and other famous tourist attractions in Ha Long. Reception, transportation, and tour guide services were organized synchronously, ensuring convenience and safety for visitors.
The frequent arrival of large-scale luxury cruise ships shows that Quang Ninh’s cruise tourism market has significantly recovered and expanded. These visitors also represent a high-spending segment, contributing to the more effective utilization of tourism infrastructure, especially the international cruise port system.
In the coming time, Quang Ninh will step up promotional programs to expand the cruise tourism market, while enhancing service quality to further establish itself as a professional, safe, and attractive destination for international visitors.
