The inauguration of Yen Tu spring festival became a cultural beauty of the Vietnamese nation a long time ago, which showed deeply “when you drink water, think of its source” tradition and people’s gratitude with the forefather generation. The event will take place on 7th February (ig 10th January in Lunar New Year) at Yen Tu Truc Lam Palace, which is promised as a special event attracting a lot of domestic and foreign tourists.
An opening ceremony of this year’s festival will be held with unique and larger scale activities, recreating a traditional ancient spring festival. Ceremonial proportion will include palanquin parades, offering sacrifice and spiritual ceremonies such as drumming, ringing the bell, praying for national peace… In particular, the palanquin parade ceremonial will have the largest scale ever, with the participants from 11 palanquin teams of Uong Bi city and Quang Ninh Buddha Association, which bear a formal spring festival and imbued with Vietnam’s tradition.
After a ceremonial part, a festive proportion will take place with jubilant and vibrant spring air, embracing a lot of exciting activities like flower garland festive night, dragon dance, traditional martial arts, riding horse, folk games and art performance at Yen Tu Nuong village area. Otherwise, visitors are able to visit image exhibitions propagandizing Yen Tu’s value and majestic beauty, discovering Dao Thanh Y ethnic people cuisine culture, savouring exceptional performances in which there is a famous Ho Quynh Huong singer.
To ensure festive success, Uong Bi People’s Committee assigned national-managed agencies to deploy propaganda and promotion plans to local and tourists. Flags and banners of the festival are going to be hung on the main roads of the city. The organizer board will coordinate with related units to take place solutions guaranteeing safety and security, safe traffic or fire prevention. In addition, food safe management tasks at service facilities in relic areas are enhanced to protect visitors’ health.
