In the early 3 months of 2025, Ha Long city welcomed nearly 2.3 million visitors, which is 105 percent over the same period in 2024. The international travellers are 720.000 that significantly contributed to tourism revenue as 6345 billion VND. This is actually an impressive number that proved the strong increasing momentum of Ha Long tourism.
This achievement is an outcome of taking place effectively in the “Ha Long – Festive city” plan with a chain of 17 special cultural events that were organized in many regions. In the 1st quarter, the city held highlighted activities such as an art performance greeting the New year, Ba Men temple festival, Bang Ca village festival or cherry blossom festival… All of them made a lively and attractive cultural picture with tourists.
Along with organizing travel events, Ha Long tourism industry showed its positive impetus in pushing linkages and developed cooperation with domestic and foreign localities, especially with Chinese cities and provinces and cruise ship tourists. At the same time, the place also paid attention to enhancing the effectiveness of state management in receiving and solving feedback from locals and visitors, which aimed to ensure a healthy and civilized tourism business environment.
Notably, the 2nd quarter of 2025 promises to break out with a lot of big festivals and events such as Carnaval Ha Long, Beer and Squid cake festival, Dragon performance, Balloon festival, traditional dragon boat race festival… The activities not only mounting the attraction for Ha Long tourism, but also affirming that Ha Long is one the most vibrant festive centers of North Vietnam.
On the other hand, Ha Long city is step by step renewing itself by diversifying travel products. From high-quality resort and islet tourism services to the activities discovering nights on the mainland and bay, they are bidding to improve its quality to meet the higher demands of diversified tourists worldwide. These things aim to insist that Ha Long is not only a destination of magnificent natural beauty but also a convergence of cultural experiences, festivals, and modern, dynamic tourism services.
