On 16th to 25th February 2026, Halong International Cruise Port is expected to welcome 6 high-class cruise ships, bringing a thousand of international tourists mostly from Europe and Hong Kong to visit Quang Ninh. This is a remarkable signal that affirm an attraction of Quang Ninh destination on the international cruise ship map. 

On the first day of the Lunar New Year (ig February 17), Seabourn Encore and Piano Land will arrive at Halong International Cruise Port and carry about 2600 foreign guests. Quang Ninh province will host a welcome ceremony to congratulate the first tourists visiting the local area in the Lunar New Year. 

In the upcoming day, a Le Jacques Cartier cruise ship will take 300 European visitors to Ha Long on February 19. After that the Adora Mediterrane ship is expected to arrive at Ha Long port on February 20 and 25, each turn carrying roughly 2000 tourists to visit and experience provincial special tourism products.

Short-day tours, cultural and culinary experiences, luxury resorts, and connections among destinations such as Ha Long, Tuan Chau, and Van Don are being prioritized for development to meet the needs of high-spending visitors.

In 2026, Quang Ninh aims to welcome around 90 cruise ships carrying 100,000–150,000 international passengers. The province also targets attracting 22 million tourist arrivals, including approximately 5.2 million international visitors, with total tourism revenue expected to reach at least VND 65 trillion.
