Quang Ninh is step by step affirming its position as the typical destination of heritage and culture tourism, with beautiful natural scenes and long-term historic-cultural depth. Bringing into play effectively legacy values is an exceptional way to preserve characteristics, create motivation for sustainable tourism development, and promote local special travel images on the domestic and international tourism maps.

Currently, Quang Ninh is possessing a popular heritage system with the different 641 relics, for which there are special national and national relics. Along with tangible relics, the province is preserving a hundred of intangible cultural relics, reflecting the mental life, reliefs and customs of ethnic minority communities. These are utterly valuable cultural resources that make their own attractiveness for Quang Ninh tourism. 

In addition, Quang Ninh is famous for two world heritage recognized by UNESCO, including the world natural heritage Ha Long Bay – Cat Ba archipelago and the world cultural legacy, Yen Tu – Vinh Nghiem – Con Son, Kiep Bac monument and relic complex. On the one hand, Ha Long Bay – Cat Ba archipelago is well-known for its spectacular aesthetic value and geology, as well as a cultural-spiritual space associated with Truc Lam Buddhism history and national patriotic tradition, which step by step become an unforgettable destination for many Vietnamese tourists.

Recognizing its clear potential and advantages, Quang Ninh has, in recent years, focused on mobilizing resources to preserve, restore, and promote the value of its heritage. Over the past five years, all national-level relics and most provincial-level sites have been renovated, with a total investment of nearly VND 2 billion. Conservation efforts have been implemented in a systematic manner, closely linked with sustainable tourism development, turning many relics, festivals, and traditional cultural spaces into attractive tourism products that draw an increasing number of domestic and international visitors.

In the 2026-2030 phase, Quang Ninh continuously defines that growing cultural industry and service is one of the strategic steps, along with the duty of conserving the heritage system. It set a goal of building Quang Ninh into a regional artistic-cultural center, as well as Asia-leading destination for legacy and cultural tourism. With a rich heritage basement, systematic ways and long-term vision, Quang Ninh is gradually opening fresh opportunities, contributing to spreading Vietnam’s cultural value to the world.
