This October 17, a trekking tournament titled “Conquering Cao Xiem Peak – Camping to welcome the Golden Season” will officially take place in Luc Hon Commune, Quang Ninh City. The event marks the kickoff for a series of activities within the Luc Hon Golden Season Festival 2026, offering a unique camping experience amidst the Northeastern mountains. It is expected to attract around 200 to 300 athletes and outdoor enthusiasts from mountaineering and trekking clubs nationwide.
Spanning approximately 2.5 kilometers, the trekking route begins at the Cao Xiem pine forest and heads straight toward Cao Xiem Peak at an elevation of 1,429 meters above sea level. The estimated completion time ranges from 90 to 120 minutes, making it well-suited for both semi-professional athletes and outdoor enthusiasts.
The journey is thoughtfully designed with diverse scenic waypoints:

Pine Forest & Star Anise Forest Station: The starting point leads participants beneath whispering pine canopies, where they can take in the subtle, distinctive fragrance of the highland star anise woods.

Tall Grass Hill: A gentle incline revealing sweeping, open views of lush green vegetation and rolling hillsides.

Cloud-Hunting Station (~1,300m elevation): An ideal rest stop to witness floating seas of clouds while capturing panoramic views of cascading mountain ranges.

Cao Xiem Peak (1,429m elevation): Regarded as the “Roof of Binh Lieu”, the summit unveils a breathtaking panorama of the frontier mountains and forests, where heaven and earth seamlessly merge.
Alongside the sporting event, the program also features an overnight camping activity, offering participants the chance to admire the sunset, hunt sea of clouds at sunrise, and immerse themselves in the pristine autumn atmosphere.
