To actualize the Vietnam – Indonesia comprehensive strategic partnership, from October 28 to 30, 2026, Quang Ninh city will host the Meet Indonesia 2026 conference. This is a national-level economic diplomacy event organized by the Quang Ninh City People’s Committee, in close coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Embassy of Indonesia in Vietnam, opening up profound strategic cooperation opportunities between the two countries.
The conference is expected to welcome around 350 attendees, including about 100 Indonesian delegates comprising government officials, local authorities, along with prominent businesses, associations, and organizations. On the Vietnamese side, the event will feature the participation of representatives from central ministries, agencies, and localities nationwide.
The event is considered as a golden opportunity to establish and strengthen multi-dimensional, direct dialogue and networking channels: Government-to-Government (G2G), Government-to-Business (G2B), and Business-to-Business (B2B). Through this platform, all parties can directly exchange views and find common ground in their economic cooperation and development strategies.
The conference aims to strongly promote foreign direct investment (FDI) from Indonesia into the strategic priority sectors of Quang Ninh city. Key areas for investment and trade promotion include high-tech manufacturing and processing, comprehensive transportation and seaport logistics, Halal-standard agricultural and aquatic products and the development of sustainable eco-tourism.
Alongside the official plenary session taking place on the morning of October 30, the event series features several significant sideline activities hosted by Quang Ninh city. A major highlight is the Quang Ninh – Indonesia Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Conference held on the afternoon of October 29, providing an in-depth platform to directly showcase the city’s outstanding potential.
Throughout the conference, international delegates will have the opportunity to explore exhibition spaces featuring signature OCOP products, participate in site visits to key industrial zones (such as DEEP C and Amata), and tour the World Natural Heritage site of Ha Long Bay. The event not only promotes a transparent and open business and investment environment but also widely showcases Quang Ninh’s unique cultural and natural values to the international partner community.
