On September 24 in Quang Ninh, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in collaboration with the Quang Ninh Provincial People’s Committee, hosted the National Tourism Promotion Conference 2026. The event was chaired by Mr. Ho An Phong, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism and brought together approximately 300 delegates representing central ministries, departments, local authorities, and businesses.

Mr. Ho An Phong, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism chaired the conference.

Under the theme “Innovation – Synergy – Breakthrough”, the conference served as a strategic forum to realize the major orientations outlined in Resolution No. 26-NQ/TW, Resolution No. 80-NQ/TW, and Resolution No. 263/NQ-CP. Delegates focused on addressing bottlenecks and defining clear roles among regulatory authorities, localities, and enterprises across key areas: from visa policies, aviation connectivity, and economic diplomacy to the standardization of shared digital data and destination infrastructure enhancement. The central objective is to drive a strong shift toward attracting high-spending, long-stay travelers while expanding into high-potential markets

Crucially, upcoming promotion campaigns must deliver practical results, focusing on direct flights, attractive itineraries, uncompromising service quality, and competitive rates. This approach lays solid groundwork for a busy calendar of major international events in 2027, from APEC and the National Tourism Year to flagship travel expos such as ITB Berlin and WTM London.

Concluding the conference, Deputy Minister Ho An Phong stressed that key tourism centers, including Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Quang Ninh, need to stay on track with their GRDP growth scenarios and step up momentum in the forth quarter. Local authorities and enterprises were also urged to join hands in rolling out winter promotions and boosting the night-time economy to achieve the year’s growth targets.
