In the 6 months of 2025, Quang Ninh province welcomed 35 international cruise ships, which carried around 50.000 travellers to this place and ramped-up 25% over the same period.

The tourists mostly came from familiar markets such as the USA, Germany, UK, France and the other countries of Japan, China… The cruise visitors have a lot of diversified options and experiences as they travel to Quang Ninh. Along with visiting Ha Long Bay, discovering Ha Long city, enjoying marine region dishes, and appreciating high-class services at resorts; they also can come to Yen Tu pagoda or seek traditional cultural characteristics of ethnic minorities.

In the past years, guests’ cruise ship tourism normally focused from September to April of the next year. However, although this moment is not rush time to welcome cruise ships, Quang Ninh is still considered as a loveable destination for many boat brands. On 10th June, Ha Long international cruise port is expected to welcome Piano Land cruise, which will bring about 1000 Hong Kong (China) travellers to the province.

On the one hand, Quang Ninh is standing in a promising door to promote cruise ship tourism all year round, as it welcomes international boat arrivals in a row and strives to contribute significantly in realizing a target greeting over 4.5 million foreign visitors of Quang Ninh.
