On 22nd June, Quang Ninh Department of Sport, Culture and Tourism hosted an inauguration ceremony of responding environmental protection in the tourism field, at the juncture of the world environment day and an action month for environment in 2025. The event was held at the Ocean Park beach, Bai Chay ward, Ha Long city.
The program had the participation of around 300 people, including youths, locals, tourists, travel enterprises and hotels such as Hon Gai Tours Quang Ninh, Citadines Marina Ha Long Bay, Vietravel, Sun Group… and provincial police officers. In about 1 hour, attendants were joint hand to collect plastic trash or garbage on the coast. They utterly made an overwhelming outcome as they gathered a large amount of trash, contributing to creating a clean space of the beach.
The world environmental day and an action month of the habitat has a theme “Beat Plastic Pollution”, with its intention of motivating companies, agencies, units, travel businesses, civilians and travellers to enhance their awareness and responsibilities with environmental protection activities. Each citizen becomes an ambassador for tourism, protecting the environment and working together to build a civilized, clean, and beautiful Quang Ninh.
