On August 2, the Organizing Committee of the Ha Long Heritage International Marathon, in collaboration with Li-Ning, held the official launch ceremony for the 2026 race. The event will take place from November 20 to 22, 2026, with November 22 serving as the official race day. This year’s marathon is expected to attract around 18,000 participants, including approximately 5,000 international runners.

The Ha Long Heritage International Marathon is the only road race in Vietnam recognized as a World Athletics Label Road Race. Building on the success of previous editions, the event has continued to enhance its prestige. The World Athletics Label recognizes the marathon’s high organizational standards and international quality, contributing to the participation of more elite athletes and international runners.

With around 18,000 participants expected to take part, the Ha Long Heritage International Marathon 2026 is set to record the largest field in the event’s 11-year history. Participants will compete in four race distances: 42.195 km, 21.0975 km, 10 km, and 5 km.

With the start and finish line located at the Quang Ninh Planning, Fair and Exhibition Palace, the course features a fully closed route in both directions, ensuring maximum safety while giving runners the best opportunity to improve their performance. Winding along the magnificent coastline of Ha Long Bay, every kilometer offers a unique running experience amid the awe-inspiring scenery of the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
To maintain strict criterias of the Label World, Ha Long Heritage International Marathon 2026 will continuously complete management activities from medicine, from medical and emergency services to race safety management and comprehensive runner support, delivering a professional and world-class race experience.
In addition, the Organizing Committee introduced the Green Dragon Cup, a dedicated competition for the business community aimed at fostering networking, strengthening connections, and promoting the spirit of sports in the corporate sector.
