On July 25, the People’s Committee of Hong Gai ward officially launched the cultural-spiritual tourism program “Hong Gai – A cultural experience journey”. Under the theme “Connecting heritage – Spreading cultural values,” the inaugural tour attracted around 200 visitors.
By connecting iconic spiritual sites such as Duc Ong Tran Quoc Nghien Temple and Bao Hai Linh Thong Tu Pagoda, the program offers visitors a unique cultural and spiritual journey filled with meaningful experiences throughout the day.
In the morning, visitors to Duc Ong Tran Quoc Nghien Temple offered incense, explored the site’s rich historical and cultural heritage, and experienced Vietnamese culture by creating traditional handicrafts. Afterwards, visitors took part in traditional ceremonial and spiritual cultural activities. The program also facilitated the filming of rituals, scenic landscapes, and distinctive cultural features for the film and media project Destiny 8 – Come Back.
In the afternoon, visitors took part in hands-on activities, including making wax candles and floating lanterns as offerings, enjoying tea, grilled rice, and cultural exchanges in a traditional setting. They also experienced the lantern-offering and lantern-lighting rituals, along with the presentation of roses in tribute to mothers, in celebration of the Vu Lan Festival, Vietnam’s season of filial gratitude. Under the theme “Love is in the Air,” the activities were held in a warm and joyful atmosphere, creating a close space where participants could express and share their gratitude.
Later that day, visitors continued their journey to Bao Hai Linh Thong Tu Pagoda, where they immersed themselves in a tranquil spiritual setting and took part in tea meditation, singing bowl meditation, and meditative music sessions. They were particularly impressed by the opportunity to relax on the Tam Bao Stage, where they enjoyed tea, practiced meditation, and participated in group activities. They also strolled across May Bridge to admire the breathtaking scenery and watch the sunset, bringing their cultural journey to a memorable close.
The positive feedback from the program’s first visitors shows that the “Hong Gai – A cultural experience journey” program has begun connecting historical relics, cultural and spiritual sites, and scenic attractions throughout Hong Gai ward into a cohesive tourism experience. This is expected to gradually create a distinctive tourism product with greater depth. The program also provides visitors with more diverse options, especially those interested in exploring the area’s history, culture, and traditional values.
