On 9th July, InterContinental Halong Bay Resort – the coastal first resort of InterContinental brand in North Vietnam officially put into operation. The event marked a crucial step in the strategic cooperative relationship between IHG Hotels & Resorts and BIM Land, which is a member of BIM Group. The resort is located at the hub of Pennsylvania No.2, Halong Marina urban area, on the bank of Ha Long Bay – the world natural heritage.

InterContinental Halong Bay Resort features 175 bay-facing rooms and villas, showcasing modern architecture subtly blended with local cultural elements. The resort offers a comprehensive range of amenities, including six uniquely styled restaurants and bars; dedicated spaces for events, conferences, and weddings; a premium wellness and beauty complex with a spa, gym, and personalized treatment areas; and specialized recreational facilities and services for families and children.

It also possesses an exceptional panorama view and high-class service quality, which promises to become a heading option for domestic and foreign visitors as they arrive in Ha Long, as well as a vital point of the high-quality tourism development strategy of Quang Ninh province.

Before the official opening of InterContinental Halong Bay Resort, BIM Group and IHG Hotels & Resorts had already established a well-structured and successful partnership in Vietnam and the region. As of mid-2025, the two parties had signed six projects—four of which are now in stable operation and have received numerous international awards, such as InterContinental Phu Quoc Long Beach Resort and Regent Phu Quoc.
