On June 14–15, the 32nd ASEAN Senior Level Committee (SLC) Meeting on Financial Integration officially took place at InterContinental Halong Bay Resort, gathering senior international delegates from across the region. As part of the event, a tourism and investment promotion space for Quang Ninh province was organized, showcasing the dynamic, hospitable, and culturally rich identity of this heritage destination.

A key highlight of the exhibition space was the unique collection of publications and travel guidebooks featuring the UNESCO World Natural Heritage site of Ha Long Bay and the Yen Tu heritage site. Through well-designed materials and vivid photos, international delegates were able to admire the spectacular beauty of the bay’s thousands of islands and learn about the cultural roots of Truc Lam Yen Tu, whose core values define the unique identity of Quang Ninh tourism.

Going beyond tourism publications, the promotion space underscored the locality’s competitive edge in premium sea and island tourism. Displayed prominently at the center was a model of the Victorious cruise ship, complete with comprehensive brochures detailing 5-star overnight luxury cruises across the bay. In addition, exquisite handicrafts crafted entirely from coal, featuring diverse and striking shapes, garnered substantial interest from participating delegates.

Integrating the tourism and investment promotion space into the framework of the 32nd ASEAN Senior Level Committee (SLC) Meeting on Financial Integration was a practical and effective cultural diplomacy initiative. The exhibition space left a memorable impression of Vietnamese hospitality, while enhancing Quang Ninh’s standing as an ideal destination for major international events and unlocking opportunities to attract high-end visitors from ASEAN countries in the near future.
