On July 10, Quang Ninh province hosted the Quang Ninh tourism promotion program at Moscow, Russia. Mr. Nguyen Chi Thanh, Member of the Standing Committee of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Ninh province, head of the delegation, chaired the seminar. H.E. Dang Minh Khoi, Ambassador of Vietnam to the Russian Federation attended the conference. 

Speaking at the conference, H.E. Dang Minh Khoi, Ambassador of Vietnam to the Russian Federation, applauded Quang Ninh Province for its proactive efforts in organizing promotion activities in the Russian market, which have contributed to strengthening the cooperative relationship between the two countries. He noted that Quang Ninh has great potential to become an attractive destination for Russian visitors thanks to its unique tourism resources, modern infrastructure, and well-developed tourism services. He also affirmed that the Embassy of Vietnam in the Russian Federation will continue to accompany and support the province in strengthening connections, promoting its image, and fostering tourism cooperation.

Once again, Mr. Nguyen Chi Thanh highlighted Quang Ninh Province’s strengths and advantages for developing sustainable and attractive tourism. On that basis, he encouraged tourism enterprises from Quang Ninh and Russia to strengthen cooperation in developing tourism products tailored to the Russian market, expand tour and travel route connectivity, and promote the launch of direct charter flights, making it more convenient for Russian visitors to travel to Quang Ninh.

A highlight of the conference was the signing ceremony of eight Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) between four tourism enterprises from Quang Ninh province and two leading Russian travel companies, Fun & Sun and Autlet. The agreements focus on developing new tourism products, expanding tour and travel route connectivity, exchanging visitor flows, and jointly promoting tourism destinations. These partnerships are expected to provide strong momentum for attracting more Russian visitors to Quang Ninh in the near future. In total, 20 Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) on investment, trade, and tourism cooperation were signed between Vietnamese and Russian businesses during the conference.

Prior to the tourism promotion conference, the Quang Ninh provincial delegation held a working meeting with the Moscow Tourism Committee, during which both sides agreed on a number of directions to strengthen tourism cooperation between the two localities. They agreed to prioritize the exchange of tourism information and development experience, while promoting business connections and exploring opportunities to develop new tourism products, tours, and travel routes.

Following a series of productive meetings, networking activities, and promotion events in the Russian Federation, Quang Ninh province’s investment, trade, and tourism promotion program concluded with remarkable achievements. In particular, the signing of 20 Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) between Vietnamese and Russian enterprises not only demonstrated the Russian market’s strong interest in Quang Ninh but also laid a solid foundation for long-term cooperation, especially in the tourism sector. The outcomes of the program are expected to strengthen market connectivity, attract more Russian visitors, and further enhance Quang Ninh’s position as a leading destination on the international tourism map.
