In the first half of 2026, Quang Ninh’s tourism industry demonstrated robust growth, welcoming over 12.4 million visitors, up 103% year-on-year. Domestic arrivals accounted for 9.79 million, while international visitors reached 2.63 million. Notably, approximately 4.14 million overnight stays were recorded, indicating an increasing preference for extended stays and enhanced service quality within the province.
Along with the increase in the number of tourists, total tourism revenue reached approximately VND 35.2 trillion, representing a 121% year-on-year increase, demonstrating the effectiveness of tourism promotion efforts and enhanced visitor spending.
In the first months of the year, a total of 46 tourism, sports, and cultural events were organized. Among them, the most notable was the Tourism, Sports and Culture Week – Quang Ninh Summer 2026, particularly the highlight event, “Carnaval Ha Long 2026 – The Bright Wonder in the New Era”, which contributed significantly to tourism growth. These events were carefully designed and well-invested in both format and content, creating a vibrant atmosphere and meeting the diverse needs of both residents and visitors for sightseeing and entertainment.
These impressive results continue to affirm the strong attractiveness of Quang Ninh tourism on both the domestic and international tourism map. At the same time, ongoing efforts in renewing and diversifying tourism products, along with significant improvements in service quality, have contributed substantially to these achievements.
