In the first five months of 2026, Quang Ninh Province welcomed over 10.1 million visitors. Of these, domestic tourists accounted for approximately 7.9 million, while international arrivals reached 2.2 million. The number of overnight visitors was nearly 3 million. Total tourism revenue was estimated at nearly VND 27.7 trillion, representing a 20% increase compared to the same period in 2025.

These results were achieved thanks to Quang Ninh Province’s successful organization of large-scale tourism, sports, and cultural events, which helped attract visitors and enhance the destination’s appeal and reputation. One of the most notable highlights was the Tourism, Sports and Culture Week – “Quang Ninh Welcomes Summer 2026”, with Ha Long Carnaval 2026 as the key event. This series of events attracted around 2 million visitors, generating approximately VND 6 trillion in tourism revenue.

In addition, Quang Ninh continues to promote tourism in emerging markets such as Russia and Australia. The province also focuses on developing new tourism products, improving service quality, and strengthening destination management to meet the growing demand of tourists during the peak summer season.
