Ha Long Bay (Quang Ninh) and Lan Ha Bay (Hai Phong) are famous heritage bay regions, which are well-known for their exceptional and exquisite beauty. These places are step by step connecting to each other to create high-quality island sea journey succession that promote the development of both province’s tourism sustainably.

Ha Long Bay has around 2000 small and big islets, with a popular ecosystem and unique landscape, which was recognized twice as the world natural heritage by UNESCO. Lan Ha Bay (Cat Ba, Hai Phong) spans nearly 7,000 hectares and features over 400 limestone islands, white sandy beaches, crystal-clear waters, and a peaceful atmosphere—ideal for activities such as swimming, kayaking, and coral diving. Viet Hai and Cua Van fishing villages still preserve their traditional way of life, offering visitors a unique and authentic cultural experience.
With the equivalent of natural conditions, Ha Long and Lan Ha have many possibilities connecting effective sea transportation, opening big opportunities to grow inter-regional tours. The travel route of Ha Long – Lan Ha – Bai Tu Long enhances the quality of visitor experiences, extends the length of stay, and promotes resort tourism, marine sports, and island exploration. This is considered a strategic approach to forming a heritage linkage axis and expanding the development space for marine and island tourism in the Northeast region.
On 4th April, 2025, Quang Ninh Provincial People’s Committee put the Ha Long Bay No.6 visiting route (Ha Long international cruise port – Ba Hang, Ga Choi islet – Lan Ha Bay border) into official exploitation. The decision was made based on the heritage preservation rules, comfortable connection and serving the demand developing inter-regional travel.
Currently, Quang Ninh is closely coordinating with Hai Phong to complete legal procedures, establish an operational mechanism, protect the heritage boundaries, and make-up attractive tourism products. The Ha Long – Cat Ba route is expected to officially launch by the end of 2025, attracting significant attention and interest from businesses.

To make plans turning into the fascinating tours, Lux Group – one of the pioneer enterprises of the high-class segment taking place a series of product “Both bays – One journey” at Ha Long and Lan Ha Bays from the summer 2025.
