Starting from May 5, 2026, Sun PhuQuoc Airways officially opened ticket sales for its new direct route connecting Van Don and Ho Chi Minh City, further expanding air connectivity between Quang Ninh Province and the country’s largest economic hub.

According to the plan, the route will commence operations from June 15, 2026, with four flights per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. The flight from Tan Son Nhat International Airport (SGN) will depart at 3:30 PM and arrive at Van Don International Airport (VDO) at 5:30 PM. In the opposite direction, the flight from Van Don will take off at 6:10 PM and land in Ho Chi Minh City at 8:30 PM.

The launch of the direct Van Don – Ho Chi Minh City route is expected to facilitate travel, tourism, and trade activities while strengthening regional connectivity, attracting investment, and promoting tourism development in Northeastern Vietnam.
Van Don International Airport currently serves as a key aviation gateway to the Northeast region, offering convenient access to renowned destinations such as Ha Long Bay, Bai Tu Long Bay, and Co To Island. The new route is expected to further enhance Quang Ninh’s appeal on both domestic and international tourism maps.
