On February 26, 2026 (ig January 10 of the Lunar new year), the opening ceremony of Yen Tu Spring festival 2026 will be officially hosted at Truc Lam palace, Yen Tu monument relic area, Quang Ninh province. This is an integrated cultural and spiritual event, marked the beginning of annual Yen Tu festival season, which is expected to attract a large number of monks, nuns, Buddhists, local residents, and visitors nationwide to pay homage and enjoy spring outings at the beginning of the year.

The event will be organized on February 25 and 26, 2026 (ig  January 9 and 10 of the Lunar new year) with a series of meaningful activities. In the framework of the ceremony, locals and visitors shall experience special programs such as listening to Buddhist sermons, pilgrimage to pay their respects with Dong pagoda, experiencing a lantern-lighting night, early-morning meditation and yoga sessions, and a solemn opening ceremony. It also includes a prayer ceremony for national peace and prosperity, the sacred Yen Tu seal-stamping ritual, as well as Buddhist activities, cultural exchanges, and vegetarian culinary experiences for Buddhists and visitors.

The inauguration ceremony of the Yen Tu Spring festival is a traditional belief activity to honor historic and cultural values of Truc Lam Buddhist Center – which is considered as the Zen school imbued with Vietnam characteristic. Through many years, the event gradually became a crucial highlight of the sequence of spiritual activities in the early spring of Quang Ninh, contributing to promote a rich-characteristic, friendly heritage image.

With its majestic and serene mountain landscape, Yen Tu complex of monuments and landscapes welcomes tens of thousands of pilgrims each spring. The event is expected to further spread the noble values of Vietnamese Buddhism while offering visitors the opportunity to experience a distinctive cultural and spiritual space in the early days of the Lunar new year.
