On 9th May 2025, Co To district (Quang Ninh province) will honorly held the incense offering and the national flag-raising ceremony in commemoration of the 64th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s visit to Co To Island (May 9, 1961 – May 9, 2025) and heading to celebrate 135 birthday years of the great President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 – May 19, 2025). This is a crucial political and cultural event, which expresses unlimited gratitude to the Party, administration and Co To people with the beloved leader of Vietnam’s nation. 

The ceremonial will take place at 3 places at the same time: The National Flagpole located within the Special National Historic Site of the President Ho Chi Minh Memorial Area on Co To Island; the National Flagpole in Thanh Lan Commune; and the National Flagpole in Tran Island Hamlet, Thanh Lan Commune.

This occasion also inspires national pride, a spirit of independence and self-reliance, and a deep sense of patriotism in every citizen, especially among the younger generation.

Continuing the series of meaningful commemorative activities, on May 10, 2025, an exciting and vibrant beach sports performance will take place at Love Beach — one of the most attractive destinations on Co To Island. Activities will include paragliding, jet skiing, stand-up paddleboarding (SUP), and more. This event will not only be an exciting playground for tourists and locals but also contribute to promoting the image of Co To as a green, safe, and experience-rich destination.
