On May 29, 2025, the People’s Committee of Hai Ha District, in coordination with the People’s Government of Fangcheng District (China), held the official launch ceremony for the passenger transport route via the Bac Phong Sinh (Vietnam) – Li Huo (China) border gate. The event marked an important step forward in bilateral cooperation, facilitating people-to-people exchanges and promoting economic development in the border region.

The customs procedures at the Bac Phong Sinh border gate are carried out from Monday to Friday each week, in the morning from 8:00–9:00 (Hanoi time) and in the afternoon from 15:00–16:00, corresponding to 9:00–10:00 and 16:00–17:00 Beijing time. The operating hours may be extended based on actual demand, and the two parties will coordinate and notify the changes later. The procedures are conducted on the first floor of the Bac Phong Sinh Inter-agency Building, and apply to Vietnamese and Chinese citizens with valid documents such as passports and travel permits.

The operation of this passenger route not only facilitates the residents of the border area but also contributes to promoting the development of tourism, trade, and strengthening the friendly relations between Vietnam and China.
