Vietnam government has given a Resolution No. 229 on 8th August, 2025 that decided to exempt visas for 12 European civilians including Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Switzerland. 

Citizens of these countries are permitted to stay in Vietnam for up to 45 days from the date of entry for tourism purposes, regardless of passport type, provided that they fully meet the entry requirements stipulated by Vietnamese law.

The policy will be applied from 15th August 2025 to 14th August 2028, which is in Vietnam’s tourism development promotion program. At the same time, a Resolution No. 11 on 15th January, 2025 exempting visas for Poland, Czech Republic and Switzerland citizens will shut down on 15th August, 2025.
