On 28th February, Mong Cai city held an opening ceremony of Xa Tac temple festival 2025 at Xa Tac temple national historical relic. 

The festival and Xa Tac sacrifice ceremony are special cultural activities with human civilization characteristics, associated with demands of famer. It remained via developed phases of historic and social reality requirement, as well as it was organized under a lot of different scales heading to national mentality, specifically as independent, sovereignty and autonomy; praying for abundant harvest, peaceful and happy life…

Long time ago, Xa Tac temple gradually became a sacred faith life destination, which has a crucial place in the local’s spiritual cultural life, as well as a permanent “cultural landmark” that firmly affirmed the nation’s independence and sovereignty. In 2020, Xa Tac temple was recognized as a National relic by the Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism.

This year it was held with many ceremonies such as an opening ceremony, Xa Tac sacrifice ceremony, incense offering ceremony of provincial and city delegations… In addition, there were lots of folk games which were deployed such as sick push, tug of war, stick pushing, air volleyball, chess exchange and calligraphy, along with art performances at the stage.
