On 16 November, Yen Tu Heritage Marathon contest 2025 named “Touch the heritage” officially inaugurated and drew around 3000 professional and amateur athletes from many provinces nationwide, coupled with international guests from countries such as America, British Kingdom, Germany, Canada, India, Philippines, China, South Africa, China, Japan and Korea.

The competition included three running routes of 5, 10, 21 and 42 kilometers, with a total reward of over 200 million VND. Yen Tu Heritage Marathon marked an unforgettable experience for runners, as they savoured exquisite and extraordinary landscapes of Yen Tu.

It started from a rock gate of Legacy, Yen Tu special national relic area. The athletes ran on the curl roads surrounded by old forests. They continued to go through a temple of the Regiment No.5 – a relic marked by the resilient fighting mentality of our national military. After that they arrived in a slew of sacred places such as Truc Lam Yen Tu Zen Monastery Cam Thuc, Suoi Tam pagodas, along with peaceful destinations. At km22 – km23 route, poetic roads of Yen Trung lake tourist zone – which is called Quang Ninh’s Da Lat and famous for the pine forests and emerald lake creating a serene, refreshing energy for every step of the run.

 Yen Tu Heritage Marathon contest 2025 – Touch the heritage is held with the international scale and standards, which marks the second time the competition taking place at Yen Tu monument and historic relic area. It is a realistic sport, tourism and cultural activity to celebrate immense ceremony days in the last months of 2025, in particular it is organized on the sidelines of the event receving the world culture relic certificate of UNESCO that given for Yen Tu – Vinh Nghiem – Con Son, Kiep Bac monument and historic complex, associated with the Grand Celebration marking the 717th anniversary of the Nirvana of King-Monk Tran Nhan Tong, scheduled for December 20, 2025 (the 1st day of the 11th lunar month). Through this, the event aims to stimulate tourism and attract a strong flow of domestic and international visitors to Yen Tu ward and the Yen Tu World Cultural Heritage Site during this year’s autumn–winter season.
